Bloomsbury Cottage
A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to escape to Stanford with our 3 gorgeous daughters for a real girl's weekend away. We took off late on a Friday afternoon with the roof down and the wind in our hair and great music of my choice playing for a change! I drove at a leisurely pace and arrived just over 2 hours later in Stanford. We were all so excited to be trying out a new hideaway and what a delight as we opened the front door.

A real vintage, shabby chic cottage on the village green in the heart of Stanford. The attention to detail is everywhere and the collections of old and new was a hit with girls and I alike. Love is in every detail and every layer of paint and vintage fabrics and the old paintings and frames. A lovely big Stephen Ingg's work in the kitchen and it was the gathering point for our stay- ample room for family meals. Beyond that on the vine covered veranda was absolute heaven and so tranquil. The garden was an escape on its own, with a unique traditional swimming pool reminiscent of Stanford's Dutch beginnings.
