Churchhaven is a paradise apart, a world away. Situated on the pristine shores of Langebaan Lagoon, Churchhaven is off the road, off the grid, and immersed in nature at her immaculate, rejuvenating best. Just 2 hours from Cape Town. The pounding power of the Atlantic breaks to the west and to the east and the crystal blue waters of the Lagoon fall gently on soft white sand, towards the pale silhouette of the Cederberg.

This setting lends itself to a creative, nature-based lifestyle. Hiking, kayaking, cycling, swimming, sailing and windsurfing start at your doorstep whilst the surrounds are abundantly suited to bird-watching, whale-spotting, star-gazing and picnicking. The unique combination of ocean, lagoon and estuary sustains a massive biodiversity- the wetlands are the most important in South Africa for waders and are home to almost 5,000 flamingos during the winter. Southern Right Whales and Heaveside dolphins are regularly spotted from the ocean beaches.
