Handpicked for you...

Mowani Mountain Camp sits unobtrusively among the kopjes of ochre boulders in Damaraland, where its collection of open-air thatched huts blend perfectly with the landscape. Simple, pared-down interiors set the stage for dramatic views over the surrounding mountains. A sparkling swimming pool nestled among the boulders is the ideal place to cool off between game drives.

Rare species of desert-adapted elephant, springbok, jackal, and gemsbok freely roam over the dry riverbeds, and game drives are expertly led by guides who work closely together to help clients find these fascinating truly wild animals.  Ancient rock engravings and fascinating ‘organ pipes’ are located nearby at Twyfelfontein (Namibia’s first World Heritage Site), just a short drive from Mowani. In the cooler early morning or late afternoon hours, nature walks offer insight to the smaller wildlife and vistas of the surrounding landscape.
