Beachside bliss
Like a sculpture, carved from the Overberg sea cliffs of Romansbaai Beach & Fynbos Estate, overlooking a beautifully secluded bay in Gansbaai, Pure Sea exposes its integral form with finesse.
Understanding the owners’ ethos of luxury accommodation being derived from the essence of nature – her gentle and vigorous rhythms combined, elevating your own intrinsic state of being – this refined, bona fide seaside lodge incites a coercive stillness to your holiday. Influenced by Japanese philosophies and a biophilic architectural design that connects its occupants to the abiding nature, Pure Sea has been cleverly and consciously tiered into the terrain. Maximising on the magnificent views of the ocean, the thriving Walker Bay Nature Reserve and the mountains in the distance. An abundance of natural light floods through all of the four expansive suites of the award-winning boutique lodge. The beautiful communal dining, reclining, living and lounging spaces open out with the inimitable views. Its presence delicately felt on the soil, observing the distinction in its build, that completely surrenders to the Overberg landscape.
Stones from the earth, timber from the presiding vegetation, materials and fabrics that are of the highest natural qualities. Kangen Water supplied throughout, organic skincare products and Coco-Mat eco mattresses and pillows. Energy sourced from the sun and water from the ground, this property emphatically nods to an eco-conscious existence in a sublimely secure estate. Where the abounding nature trails and aquatic adventures begin on the doorstep of the lodge. Endless hours of swimming in secret coves and walks along pearly white sands. A connection to nature that will have you reacquainted with those medicinal doses of the esteemed Vitamin Sea.
Modesty, simplicity and intimacy
Whatever the weather, you’ll be inclined to move in accordance with the tide and the ocean’s breeze. Either venturing out onto the long deck for some morning meditation beside the swimming pool, or exploring the exhilarating nature routes by foot or by bike. Horse riding and whale watching. Life-changing treatments from the in-house Flow Treatment Room. Swimming around the clock, dipping in and out of the waves or the infinity waters of the pool. Games and long chats in the library or a simple moment in the hot tub as you inhale the freedom of coastal life. Feasting from the tailored menus that appease every discerning palate. The breakfasts, homemade pizzas, tapas platters, and decadent three-course dinner menu. Mostly, you be simply sitting still, listening to the birds as they sweep through the skies, conversing with the whales and the dolphins below. Fireplaces aplenty and ample outdoor lounging areas on spacious decks and private patios ensure the changing seasons will always be engaging. Reminding you of the eternal essence of our relationship with nature. And how it furnishes us with the most gratifying getaway, with the people that bring out the best in us, too.
