Enjoy the walks, fireplace and the location as the views are forever to the mountains beyond. The fields change colour all year round. It is a wholesome farm where rustic country charm abounds. It is where the Badenhorst wine is grown and matured.
Simply decorated in white and blues with luxury linens on the beds, underfloor heating which is great in winter. A small kitchen and bathroom with a rolltop bath. I loved it for its proximity to Cape Town and the fact that my children were in heaven! We picked vegetables out of a ‘to die for if you live in a city’ vegetable garden, we frolicked in a little muddy dam after chasing the farm chickens, we explored the fynbos reserve behind the cottage. Be prepared for lots of animals….horses, dogs and lots of bird life.
Plus we really, really want to stomp the grapes and a do proper wine tasting (without the little ones) and remember your bicycles…… it is perfect bike country and close to Riebeeck Kasteel and Wellington for lunch although we think you won’t want to leave the farm.
