Dolphin Cottage is a charming beachside cottage on Glen Beach in Camps Bay. It has all the attractions of a secluded beach setting, with numerous decks and an extensive garden to escape the madding crowd. The house is totally unique with uninterrupted sea and mountain views and is situated only steps from the most discreet and private sand beach in Cape Town – but just a stroll away from the much larger and popular Camps Bay beach and restaurants. Enjoy the expansive views of Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles from the shade of the deck in the heat of the day or catch a tan on the sun deck with a cool drink with views of Lion’s Head. The deck to the side has views over the tropical garden while the front deck has classic frontal sea views through the palm trees – it doesn’t get much better than this!
The look is part colonial, part afro chic, decorated in an eclectic mix of interesting pieces, natural fabrics and comfortable furnishing. Inside and out are one with wide patio doors open onto the deck on one side and the spacious garden and pool decks on the other. Adults and children alike can enjoy the tree house and swimming pool (with a grotto at one end) as well as the separate barbecue and entertainment area – which makes Dolphin Cottage the perfect family hideaway. There are multiple “chill” areas – including near the cascading stream that runs down the full length of the property, an inviting ‘shipwreck’ style outdoor seating area under the tree canopy on the wide front deck as well as a sauna – ensuring children, teens and adults alike will be entertained.The cottage comes fully serviced with a butler/cook and cleaning staff. The butler will prepare breakfast and can prepare meals on request
Parking is provided while separate staff quarters for two is located discreetly off the back courtyard accessible from the lower ground floor.
