This is a Plettenberg Bay home that offers both style and substance. Style, through its impeccably decorated interiors and clever architecture. Substance through the surrounding nature and unobscured views of the Tsitsikamma Mountains, Keurbooms Lagoon and Lookout Beach.
Located in a quiet cul-de-sac on the ridge, the property presides over the seaside town with grace. Thanks to cleverly designed living spaces, guests will never feel on top of each other, but rather find different nooks and alcoves to relax in and enjoy their personal space. The owners’ most treasured pieces in the home are the extra large framed photographs that take pride of place on the walls, displaying images of birds and wildlife that they have encountered during their travels over the years.
Floor-to-ceiling folding doors completely open up onto the pool and deck area, which is the best place to enjoy alfresco meals, protected from onshore winds. A boma fireplace is perfectly situated to take in sunsets over the lagoon or stargaze later in the evening when the skies are clear.
At The Bay the pace is slow – and after just one night you’ll feel the stresses of daily life melt away. Should the weather change, an indoor fireplace in the living area is the ideal spot to cuddle up with a good book and a great bottle of red.
Once you’re ready to explore, the seaside town won’t disappoint. For the adventurous, there’s mountain biking, horse-riding, hiking and surfing available close by and for those who prefer to take it easy, the area’s wine routes and amazing variety of restaurants will impress.
For a fun and relaxed seaside holiday with friends and family – whether in summer or winter – The Bay will deliver.
What we love!
The quiet location of the home, which is away from the hustle and bustle of the vibey town
The uninterrupted views over the lagoon and the unparalleled sunsets
The beautiful interiors that are at once luxe and relaxed
Need to know…
The pool is unfenced with a few drop-off areas, so it is not suitable for young children or unskilled swimmers
Getting to Plett is easy; take a leisurely drive from Cape Town along the Garden Route or book a flight with Cemair, which flies to Plett regularly from Cape Town or Jo’burg
