Powdery white sand, turquoise water and soft tropical light make island locations a natural fit for fashion, swimwear, travel and lifestyle shoots. Our collection spans private beachfront hideaways in Mauritius, remote Alphonse Island in the Seychelles, a Caribbean retreat in Barbados, the sun-bleached Lamu archipelago off the Kenyan coast and the Mediterranean countryside of Mallorca. Many of these hideaways are fully serviced, so cast and crew can stay on site and make the most of early-morning and golden-hour light. Share your brief and we will match you with the island that suits it.

Good to know

Islands - frequently asked questions

Which islands do your shoot locations cover?
Our island shoot locations currently span Mauritius, the Seychelles, Barbados, the Lamu archipelago off Kenya's coast and Mallorca in Spain. Settings range from private beachfront hideaways on Mauritius's east and west coasts to Alphonse Island Lodge in the Seychelles' remote Outer Islands.
What kinds of shoots suit an island location?
Island locations suit fashion, swimwear, travel, resort and lifestyle campaigns, as well as film and television productions that need white-sand beaches, turquoise water or lush tropical gardens. Many of these hideaways also offer striking interiors, pools and private terraces, so a single location can carry both indoor and outdoor set-ups.
Can the crew stay at the location during the shoot?
Yes. Most of our island locations are fully serviced hideaways, so cast and crew can stay on site and make the most of early-morning and golden-hour light. Capacity ranges from villas sleeping eight guests to Alphonse Island Lodge, which accommodates up to 70.
When is the best time to shoot on these islands?
It depends on the island. Mauritius is generally drier and cooler from May to November and the Seychelles has its calmest seas in April–May and October–November. Barbados is driest from December to April, while Mallorca offers soft light and fewer crowds in spring and autumn. Our team can advise on conditions for your dates.
Do I need a permit to film on an island?
Most countries require a filming permit for commercial shoots, and drone flights are regulated separately, so requirements differ between Mauritius, the Seychelles, Kenya, Barbados and Spain. We recommend working with a local fixer or production service company, and we are happy to share what we know about each location when you enquire.
How do I book an island shoot location?
Send us your brief with your shoot dates, crew size and visual references, and we will shortlist suitable locations, confirm availability with the owners and manage the booking. You can also call us on +27 21 790 0972.
