Camps Bay and its famous Atlantic Seaboard beachside isn’t called Cape Town’s Copacabana for nothing. Here, you’ll find a magnificent palm tree lined beach, icing sugar sands and a plethora of hip and happening bars, restaurants and shops.
So when the Italian owners of this space found Angels Place, they knew they had struck gold. Situated in ‘old Camps Bay’, it’s a few roads back from the buzzing strip but close enough to stroll to the beach and wander back down later for cocktails.
The owners gutted the original property and in its place created this contemporary, designtastic and absolutely comfortable apartment.
One of them is an architect who personally designed the space and interiors, so if you have an eye for detail, you’re in for a treat. The moody palette—featuring black, white, grey, and warm natural wood grains—sets a sophisticated tone throughout. Striking, original South African contemporary artworks add bold character, seamlessly merging with the carefully curated design.
From the skylight overhead that runs the length of the main living room (so you can always see the Twelve Apostles Mountains behind) to the designer furniture (like the black leather dining room chairs, Flos lights and a sofa by Spanish über designer Paola Lenti) and of course the magnificent views of the ocean, there really are beautiful details at every turn.
Relax in comfort and sophisticated style
With four impeccably designed bedroom suites (one seafacing and the rest with uninterrupted views to the mountain reserve behind) Angels Place is an ideal weekend getaways for couples, or two families travelling together.
While you’re spoilt for choice with the nearby restaurants, if you love cooking and entertaining, this self-catering holiday accommodation is a perfect bet for you. The kitchen is kitted out with state-of-the-art Miele appliances and every other gadget for feasting at home.
The entire apartment is fully air-conditioned. Underfloor heating keeps it warm and comfortable during winter.
Then again, if you’d rather do as little as possible, sunning yourself on the terrace and slipping into the pool is just as inviting too.
At Angel’s Place, it’s all about indulging in long summer days and balmy nights – embraced in the utmost comfort and style.
