Your suites are there to furnish you with the holiday opulence you seek, the quiet downtime you yearn, the spectacular views, the simple delicious feasts and the less-hassle approach to a holiday. Everything else is on your doorstep, ready to reveal a whole different kind of sojourn to the Plett we know. Eleven offers four luxury suites, overlooking the beaches of Plettenberg Bay, immersed in the effervescent buzz of the seaside town, for you and your chosen companion to revel in the perks of this revered Garden Route destination.
If you’re seeking a different kind of sojourn to Plettenberg Bay, one that generously dishes up the laidback seaside luxury desired, and it’s just the two of you, or perhaps a couple of couples, then consider Eleven. A boutique hotel situated on the main street, overlooking the best beaches, surrounded by curious boutiques and bookstores, fabulous eateries and art galleries. It’s a place where you can come and go as you please, pivot from beach to beach with ease, and absorb the pleasantries of Plett, with little more than your sunhat and your room keys.
There are four penthouse suites that lend themselves as mini apartments, or a pied-à-terre as such, where you and your travelling buddy get to experience the magic of this Garden Route cosmopolis. Beautifully spacious suites open out onto decks that deliver magnificent views of the beaches – Central immediately in front, with Robberg and Lookout nearby. One of them with a heated swimming pool, another with an open fireplace for the added romance, and another with a stunning breakfast room, and semi-outdoor bar area.
Complimentary breakfasts with seriously good coffee will be served every morning to pave your appetites for the day. Then it’s off to the surf, the nature trails, the wine farms in the Crags or whatever activity tickles your fancy. Depending on the size of your travelling clan, the concierge team of the hotel will happily co-ordinate your itinerary for each day.
Some mornings might be slow, spent on the terrace of your suite, lapping up the sun’s rays and the chapters of a holiday novel. Then off to the local wine farm for lunch, or wandering the streets perusing the stores and partaking in a bit of obligatory retail therapy.
All the frills, no fuss
Dinners will be different every evening. Reservations can be made at the nearby restaurants that are always bustling with an almost Mediterranean-esque coastal vibe – irrespective of the season. Everything feels alive and engaging, witnessing the residents and ‘seasonal swallows’ dip in and out of the cafés, leaving the beaches after their last dip of the day, barefoot and free. Just as you like to be, too.
Pivoting from your little luxurious pad on the main drag. Cocooned from the crowds when you need to be, yet equally immersed in it when curiosity calls. You can venture out on foot, or hire one of the hotel’s E-Bikes for the day. Cruising around town at your leisure, locks loose and salty skin repeatedly being kissed by the sun. There are also guided tours that can be arranged, if you wish to venture a little further along the rugged coastline, or onto the nature trails.
That’s the thing about Plett, and all of its attributes, there’s so much to do, whatever the season. But what’s especially lovely about Eleven, is that you can have it all arranged for you, courtesy of the concierge team.
