It’s known for its healing thermal springs that flow into the sea, giving it a distinctive reddish hue in parts. The Monastery of Saint George, a woman’s monastery doing back to 1670, is also nearby but most locals come to enjoy the beach, which is distinctly lacking in umbrellas – just the way we like it!
